Daniel Jason Sudeikis ( suu-DAY-kiss; born September 18, 1975) is an American actor, comedian, and screenwriter. He is best known for his tenure as a writer and cast member for the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 2003 to 2013, in addition to co-creating and starring as the title role in the Apple TV sports comedy series Ted Lasso, which earned him two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards. In the 1990s, he began his career in improv comedy and performed with ComedySportz, iO Chicago (Improv Olympic), and The Second City.
