Development of a third Angry Birds motion picture was initially announced by Sony Pictures in 2021. Subsequent production companies joined the project; series creator Rovio Entertainment collaborates with Sega Sammy Group and Prime Focus Studios on production, while DNEG handles animation services. The film's official announcement occurred in 2024, followed by simultaneous production and voice recording activities during that same year.
