A 2019 science fiction action thriller film, Gemini Man stars Will Smith in a dual role as both his older and younger self. The movie was directed by Ang Lee, written by David Benioff, Billy Ray, and Darren Lemke, and also features Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong. It tells the story of a Force Recon Marine scout sniper who is pursued by a younger clone while evading a corrupt private military company.

The project originated in 1997 with screenwriter Darren Lemke and remained in development for nearly two decades. At various points, Tony Scott, Curtis Hanson, and Joe Carnahan were attached to direct, and Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, and Sean Connery were considered for the lead role. In 2016, Skydance Media acquired the screenplay from Walt Disney Pictures, which had undergone multiple rewrites. By October 2017, Ang Lee committed to directing the film for Skydance, with Paramount Pictures responsible for distribution. Principal photography occurred between February and May 2018 using a high frame rate of 120 frames per second.

The film premiered on October 1, 2019 and was released in the United States by Paramount Pictures on October 11, 2019. Critics largely criticized its plot and writing, though praise was given for the action scenes and performances. The de-aging effects and high frame rate received divided reactions. At the box office, it was a failure, earning only $174 million against its $138 million budget, resulting in an estimated loss of $111 million for Paramount. Despite this, the film received a Saturn Award nomination for Best Science Fiction Film.
