A Day in the Life of America is a 2019 American documentary film directed by Jared Leto. The film was made over the course of 2017 Independence Day and shows moments from across the United States. It explores both the variety and the disagreement within the country. This project began as a follow-up to America (2018), the fifth studio album by Leto's rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars.

The concept draws from the Day in the Life photography books, which were created by David Elliot Cohen. These works feature a single day of documentation by a photographer. For this documentary, Leto organized 92 teams to visit all fifty States, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, along with user-generated footage from July 4, 2017.

Leto produced the film with Emma Ludbrook under their company Paradox, and with Matt Benson through Interscope Films. It was shown at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival where it received positive reviews. The documentary aired on PBS as part of Independent Lens on January 11, 2021.
