A 2019 psychological horror film, The Lodge was directed by Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala, with a screenplay written by Franz, Fiala, and Sergio Casci. The movie features Riley Keough, Jaeden Martell, Lia McHugh, Alicia Silverstone, and Richard Armitage in its cast. The story centers on a soon-to-be stepmother who finds herself at a remote lodge with her fiancé's two children during Christmas. While there, she and the children encounter several unexplained occurrences tied to her history.

The project was revealed in October 2017, when Riley Keough was confirmed to be part of the cast. Franz and Fiala took on the roles of directors, working alongside Sergio Casci on the screenplay. Most of the actors joined the production during February 2018, with principal filming starting in March 2018 and finishing within the same month.

The Lodge made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival on January 25, 2019. Originally set for a U.S. release in November 2019 by Neon, the film's distribution was delayed until the following year. It opened in limited theaters on February 7, 2020, expanding to more venues by February 21, 2020. Critics responded favorably, praising the acting, direction, screenplay, and horror components of the film.
