A 2019 American biographical comedy-drama film, The Dirt follows the story of heavy metal group Mötley Crüe. Directed by Jeff Tremaine and written by Rich Wilkes and Amanda Adelson, it features Douglas Booth, Colson Baker, Daniel Webber, and Iwan Rheon in leading roles.

Early development began in 2006 when Paramount Pictures and MTV Films acquired the rights to The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band, a 2001 memoir by the band and Neil Strauss. This project remained in development for more than ten years, with multiple directors and actors considered before Netflix took over the rights in March 2017. Principal photography commenced near New Orleans in February 2018.

The film premiered digitally on Netflix during March 22, 2019. Critics responded negatively, noting that while fans might enjoy it, the movie avoided confronting the band's more difficult past.
