Red 11 is a 2019 American science fiction horror film produced and directed by Robert Rodriguez. Rodriguez wrote the screenplay alongside his son Racer Max Rodriguez, following their earlier work together on The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D in 2005 during Racer's youth. This project draws inspiration from Robert Rodriguez's account found in his 1995 publication Rebel Without a Crew. The cast includes Roby Attal, Lauren Hatfield, Alejandro Rose-Garcia, Eman Esfandi, Steve Brudniak, Brently Heilbron, Pierce Foster Bailey, Katherine Willis, Ulysses Montoya, and Carlos Gallardo.
The movie made its first appearance at the 2019 SXSW festival on March 15, 2019. It also screened at the Directors' Fortnight at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival on May 21, 2019, the Overlook Film Festival on May 31, 2019, and the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival on September 14, 2019. Originally planned for release on the streaming platform Tubi in 2020 within the United States, the film faced a delay for unspecified reasons. It eventually became available on December 7, 2021, distributed across multiple VOD platforms such as iTunes and Amazon Prime.
