Routine 2025
Routine is a 2025 survival horror video game developed by Lunar Software and published by Raw Fury. The game takes place on a lunar base where players control an unnamed character investigating a strange event that caused the facility’s downfall. Gameplay is experienced through first-person view, allowing exploration of the environment, interaction with objects, and use of a unique tool to battle robotic enemies.
The project was revealed in 2012 as Lunar Software's initial release. Originally planned for spring 2013, Routine faced multiple delays due to an extended production timeline, funding issues, and the studio halting development temporarily because of dissatisfaction with its creative path. Production restarted in 2020 under new publisher Raw Fury. At that time, the team reworked major components including story elements, mechanics, visuals, and shifted to Unreal Engine 5. Audio designer Mick Gordon departed the project in 2024; Nathaniel-Jorden Apostol took over as composer and audio lead for the rest of development. Routine launched on Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in December 2025. Critics gave the game mostly positive feedback.
