The game was initially planned as downloadable content for Dying Light 2 Stay Human but became a full standalone title. It launched on September 18, 2025 for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Development of ports for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One began, though those were canceled on July 14, 2026.
