Autobiography

I Am Spock is a 1995 memoir written by actor and director Leonard Nimoy. The book was published four years after the final Star Trek film featuring the original cast, and details most of Nimoy's experience with Star Trek, especially his role as Mr. Spock. This second volume's title refers back to his first autobiography, I Am Not Spock, which came out in 1975. At that time, Nimoy wanted to separate his personal identity from the Spock character, yet he still felt pride about his work on the series. Fan criticism of the original title inspired Nimoy to choose a different one for this follow-up book.
