The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare 2024
A 2024 war film, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare stars Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding and Alex Pettyfer, and was directed, co-written and produced by Guy Ritchie. Based on the 2014 book Churchill's Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII by Damien Lewis, it depicts a heavily fictionalised account of Winston Churchill's Special Operations Executive during Operation Postmaster. The film premiered in New York on April 13, 2024 and opened in the United States on April 19, 2024 through Lionsgate. Critics responded positively, though the movie failed commercially, earning just $29.8 million globally against a $60 million budget. It later succeeded on digital platforms.
