A 2024 surrealist comedy film, AJ Goes to the Dog Park marks Toby Jones's live-action directorial debut, following his work as editor, writer, and director. This represents Jones' third project featuring the character AJ, portrayed by his friend AJ Thompson, after AJ Goes to France in 2006 and the animated Cartoon Network pilot AJ's Infinite Summer in 2014.
