A 2024 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character, Madame Web is the fourth entry in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU). Dakota Johnson portrays the title role, joined by Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, Celeste O'Connor, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott. The movie was directed by S. J. Clarkson who also wrote the screenplay with Claire Parker, working alongside Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. It tells the origin story of Cassie Webb (Johnson), dealing with her history while attempting to rescue three young women—Sweeney, Merced, and O'Connor—from Ezekiel Sims (Rahim), who intends to kill them before they can become Spider-Women and end his life. Lorenzo di Bonaventura handled production for Columbia Pictures.

Sony Pictures started developing the Madame Web film within their shared universe by September 2019, with Sazama and Sharpless scripting it. Clarkson stepped in as director in May 2020, making her first feature film effort, while Johnson was cast early in 2022. Additional casting followed in later months, especially for the Spider-Women roles. Principal photography commenced in mid-July 2022 and wrapped before year-end across Massachusetts, New York City, and Mexico. In November 2023, it was announced that Clarkson and Parker contributed as writers. Johan Söderqvist, a regular collaborator of Clarkson, composed the soundtrack. Set in 2003, the film was described by its creators as a thriller.

The premiere took place at Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, Los Angeles on February 12, 2024, followed by a U.S. release two days later through Sony Pictures Releasing. Critics harshly criticized it, calling it one of the worst films ever produced, generating significant media coverage and ridicule. The film also failed commercially, earning $100.5 million globally against a net production budget of $80 million, and received three Golden Raspberry Awards: Worst Picture, Worst Actress (Johnson), and Worst Screenplay.
