Kung Fu Panda 4 represents a 2024 American animated martial arts comedy film. The movie was directed by Mike Mitchell and written by Darren Lemke, Jonathan Aibel, and Glenn Berger. DreamWorks Animation served as producer for the fourth entry in the Kung Fu Panda series, following up on Kung Fu Panda 3 from 2016. Jack Black, Bryan Cranston, James Hong, Ian McShane, and Dustin Hoffman all returned to voice their characters from earlier films. The story sees Po, who must locate and train his replacement as the next Dragon Warrior, teaming up with fox bandit Zhen against the villainous sorceress The Chameleon. Her goal is to steal kung fu abilities from every deceased master in China.

DreamWorks revealed the fourth film in August 2022 during April 2023, when Mitchell, Stephanie Ma Stine, and Rebecca Huntley were named as director, co-director, and producer respectively. By December 2023, the majority of main voice actors were confirmed along with Aibel and Berger returning as writers and co-producers. Lemke’s role was confirmed in February 2024. Composer Hans Zimmer, who had worked on the first three movies, returned to compose music again, this time alongside longtime collaborator Steve Mazzaro.

The film premiered at the AMC 14 Theater at The Grove in Los Angeles on March 3, 2024, before its wide release in the United States on March 8 through Universal Pictures. Critics responded positively and the movie performed well financially, earning $547.7 million globally on a budget of $85 million, surpassing its predecessor to become the ninth-top-grossing film of 2024. It received three nominations at the 52nd Annie Awards and was also nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 52nd Saturn Awards.
