First Shift is a 2024 American crime drama film directed, produced, and written by German filmmaker Uwe Boll. The movie features Gino Anthony Pesi in the role of a solitary NYPD officer who must collaborate with a rookie, portrayed by Kristen Renton, during their upcoming shift confronting violent incidents in New York City. Supporting actors James McMenamin, Willy C. Carpenter, Brandi Bravo, and Daniel Sauli appear in key roles.

This film represents Boll’s official comeback to cinema following an eight-year absence from the industry. During this time, he opened a high-end restaurant in Vancouver that later closed and also made a documentary. Principal photography for First Shift took place in March 2023 using a non-union crew, with filming occurring on location in New York City. Legal issues arose due to claims of labor violations on set, which Boll rejected. The film premiered in Germany at the Independent Days International Filmfest on April 10, 2024 and was released simultaneously in the United States and Canada on August 30, 2024.
