Despicable Me 4 is a 2024 American animated comedy film directed by Chris Renaud and written by Mike White and Ken Daurio. The fourth main entry in the Despicable Me series and sixth overall, it was produced by Illumination and Universal Pictures. Its voice cast includes Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Pierre Coffin, Joey King, Miranda Cosgrove, Stephen Colbert, Sofía Vergara, and Will Ferrell. Set after the events of Despicable Me 3 from 2017, Gru, now a reformed supervillain and secret agent, moves his family to a safe house after his old enemy Maxime Le Mal (Ferrell) plots revenge. During this time, some of Gru's Minions gain superpowers through the Anti-Villain League (AVL), forming a group called the Mega Minions.

Work on the fourth Despicable Me film started in September 2017. It was officially announced in February 2022, with Renaud, Patrick Delage, and White signed as director, co-director, and writer. By June 2022, production had begun. The main voice actors were revealed in January 2024, while Brett Hoffman and Daurio joined as co-producer and co-writer, respectively, working alongside Chris Meledandri and White. Heitor Pereira and Pharrell Williams returned to handle the film’s musical score and original songwriting.

Despicable Me 4 premiered at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York on June 9, 2024, followed by a theatrical release in the United States on July 3 through Universal Pictures. Though it received mixed reviews, the movie continued the franchise's box office success, earning $986.7million globally against a budget of $100 million, placing it as the fourth highest-grossing film of 2024.
