Challengers is a 2024 romantic sports film directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Justin Kuritzkes. The story centers on a love triangle involving an injured tennis star turned coach (Zendaya), her former boyfriend who is now a low-circuit player (Josh O'Connor), and her professional tennis champion husband (Mike Faist). Their relationship unfolds over 13 years, leading to a match between the two men on the ATP Challenger Tour.

MGM acquired Kuritzkes's screenplay in February 2022, shortly followed by casting Zendaya, O'Connor, and Faist. These actors trained for months with former tennis player and coach Brad Gilbert to prepare for their roles. Principal photography took place from May through June 2022, primarily in Boston. Sayombhu Mukdeeprom, who previously collaborated with Guadagnino on Call Me by Your Name (2017) and Suspiria (2018), served as cinematographer.

Originally scheduled for release in September 2023 amidst the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, Challengers had its premiere in Sydney on March 26, 2024. It was then released theatrically in the United States by Amazon MGM Studios one month later. The film earned $96 million worldwide and received favorable reviews from critics. Among its honors were four nominations at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, with a win for Best Original Score.
