A 2018 American Christmas comedy film, The Christmas Chronicles features a screenplay written by Matt Lieberman and directed by Clay Kaytis. Starring Kurt Russell, Judah Lewis, Darby Camp, Lamorne Morris, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Oliver Hudson, this movie marks the beginning of a film series. The production was handled by 1492 Pictures and Wonder Worldwide, with the release occurring on November 22, 2018, on Netflix.

The story centers on Kate and Teddy, two children who encounter Santa Claus in their house and climb into his sleigh along with his reindeer. Their journey ends in a crash that results in lost presents. With Christmas morning near, the kids and Santa must work together to deliver all gifts on time.

Critics gave The Christmas Chronicles mixed feedback, highlighting Russell's acting while pointing out its predictable plot, inconsistent comedy, and poor visual effects. A follow-up film, The Christmas Chronicles 2, premiered on November 25, 2020, featuring most of the original cast returning.
