Hotel Artemis 2018
Cyberpunk action thriller Hotel Artemis was made in 2018 by Drew Pearce in his first feature film directorial effort. The movie features Jodie Foster, Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Charlie Day, Brian Tyree Henry, Jenny Slate, Dave Bautista, and Zachary Quinto. Set in futuristic Los Angeles, the story centers on Jean Thomas, a nurse operating a hidden medical facility for criminals. June 8, 2018 marked its U.S. release date. With earnings of $13 million against a $15 million budget, critics gave the film mixed responses. They highlighted the visual design, engaging script, and performances—especially Foster's—but criticized the overall execution.
