Trolls World Tour is a 2020 American animated musical comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation, based on the Good Luck Trolls dolls created by Thomas Dam. It is the sequel to Trolls (2016) and the second film in the Trolls franchise. The movie was directed by Walt Dohrn and co-directed by David P. Smith, with a screenplay written by Maya Forbes, Wallace Wolodarsky, Elizabeth Tippet, and the writing team of Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. A story was credited to Aibel and Berger. The voice cast includes Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Ron Funches, James Corden, Icona Pop, Kunal Nayyar, Zooey Deschanel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Dohrn reprising their roles from the first film, while Rachel Bloom, Kelly Clarkson, Anderson .Paak, Sam Rockwell, George Clinton, and Mary J. Blige join the ensemble. The story centers on Queen Poppy and Branch discovering other troll tribes that represent different music genres. Conflict emerges when Queen Barb of the Hard Rock Trolls (Bloom) seeks to eliminate foreign musical styles to enforce rock as the only acceptable form, leading Poppy and Branch to unite all tribes in order to stop her.

Following the release of the first movie, a sequel was announced in February 2017, with Kendrick and Timberlake confirmed to return. A significant portion of the new cast was signed between May 2018 and June 2019. Promotion for the film used custom animation provided by Minimo VFX and Jellyfish Pictures.

Trolls World Tour was released by Universal Pictures in the United States on April 10, 2020, limited to a select number of theaters, with simultaneous availability on video on demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic. AMC Theatres initially announced they would stop distributing Universal films, but later reversed this decision after a new agreement was made between AMC and Universal.
