Dressmaker 2026
Dressmaker is a 2026 job simulation video game developed by Cozy Lives and published by Free Lives. It was released for Windows and macOS on 21 September 2026. Players operate a dressmaking business, accepting orders from townspeople and crafting dresses through measuring clients, designing outfits, buying and cutting fabric, assembling pieces, and applying embellishments. The game was described as a cosy experience.
The concept originated with Jonathan Hau-Yoon and his partner Sabrina Becker, a real dressmaker whose expertise shaped the game’s structure. A preliminary version was built at Free Lives in about three weeks and launched in 2025. It reportedly recovered its development costs within 24 hours after launch.
Dressmaker garnered mostly positive reviews. Critics appreciated its stitching gameplay, creative options and range of fashion designs. Some critics noted shortcomings in the shop management features and raised issues regarding recurring commission tasks. The game supports single-player mode.
