1 in 8 Billion is a text-based life simulation game released on 5 October 2026 by independent developer Jin's Earth. The game uses Claude Opus for development and allows players to live through lives of randomly generated characters within 8 billion. Each character's life is shaped by data from the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the World Bank.

Players cannot choose where a character is born but can select their birth year. Throughout the character's life, decisions influence health, happiness, knowledge, and relationships. Users can also compare characters born in the same year. The game is free with no ads or pay-to-win mechanics, though optional purchases offer keepsake passes containing digital memorials like films, albums, and record books.

Following its release, the game gained popularity among East Asian internet users. Notable figures including Yuji Horii and Takafumi Horie have played and recommended it.
