Die in the Dungeon 2026
Die in the Dungeon is a turn-based roguelike video game released in 2026. It was developed by Spanish indie studio Atico Games and published by HypeTrain Digital and Sidekick Publishing. The game originated as a 2021 game jam project. A prologue titled Die in the Dungeon: Origins launched in December 2023, followed by early access in February 2025 and full release in May 2026. Players control characters through battles by rolling and placing dice, acquiring relics, potions, new dice, and upgrading existing ones between encounters. Runs are structured randomly to match the roguelike genre. Reviewers often compared its gameplay to Slay the Spire, noting both similarities and differences. The game’s design, strategic elements, and visual presentation received general praise.
On the 7th of March 2025, user TwoFort started a community effort to build a wiki for Die in the Dungeon on Miraheze. ATICO officially recognized this project on the 11th, naming it the Official Wiki. This recognition included adding a dedicated channel to the DitD community Discord and launching a separate DitD Wiki Discord server one month later, on the 11th of April 2025. The game is available for macOS, Nintendo Switch, and Windows platforms, and supports single-player mode only.
