Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core 2026
Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is an upcoming cooperative roguelike first-person shooter video game developed by Ghost Ship Games and published by Ghost Ship Publishing and Coffee Stain Publishing. It serves as the second spin-off of the 2020 video game Deep Rock Galactic, after Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor in 2025. The game was released in early access for Windows on May 20, 2026.
Set on the alien planet Hoxxes IV, the game continues the lore of the Deep Rock Galactic corporation, which operates deep mining operations. Players take on the role of a Reclaimer, an elite dwarven crisis specialist hired by the company after it lost contact with all mining facilities. Each mission involves the player and up to three teammates exploring an abandoned mine filled with alien enemies called Corespawn. The objective is to fight through these creatures while advancing deeper into the mine, unlocking new weapons and abilities along the way. A final boss battle at the deepest level must be overcome to successfully reclaim the facility.
The early access launch has received generally positive reviews. Critics have praised its commitment to the original game’s strengths while introducing a new subgenre. Initial reviews were mixed due to problems with upgrade negotiation, but those issues have since been fixed through updates. The game is expected to stay in early access for 18 to 24 months from launch.
