Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is a 2022 action-adventure tactical role-playing game released for the Nintendo Switch. It was developed by Ubisoft Milan and Ubisoft Paris, and published by Ubisoft. The title merges Nintendo's Mario universe with Ubisoft's Rabbids characters, serving as a follow-up to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle from 2017. A series of three expansion packs launched the subsequent year, concluding with one that included Rayman. Critics responded positively overall, noting enhancements in visuals, music, and combat mechanics, although complaints were raised regarding load times. Ubisoft reported that the game did not meet commercial expectations. This title represents the last Mario series entry where longtime voice actor Charles Martinet voiced both Mario and Luigi—using archived recordings—before his departure from active roles in 2023 to take on a brand ambassador position for the franchise.
