MLB The Show 22 2022
MLB The Show 22 is a sports video game released in 4 and 5 for PlayStation, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. It is the seventeenth title in the MLB: The Show series, developed by San Diego Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game features Shohei Ohtani, a two-way player from the Los Angeles Angels and 2021 American League MVP, as its cover star. A special manga-style cover art by Takashi Okazaki is included with the MVP and Digital Deluxe editions.
This marks the first time the franchise has been available on Nintendo Switch. For the second year running, Xbox versions are offered free to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Those who bought the MVP or Digital Deluxe editions could access the game early, beginning April 1. The game was released during a period when MLB The Show had no direct competitors in the U.S., as the R.B.I. Baseball series ended due to a Switch port. In Japan, the only rival remains Konami’s Power Pros series, specifically eBaseball Powerful Pro Yakyuu 2022. It supports both single-player and multiplayer modes.
