I Am Groot is an American animated series of shorts produced by Marvel Studios Animation for the streaming platform Disney+. It is based on the Marvel Comics and features the character Groot, created by Kirsten Lepore. The show follows Baby Groot during adventures that place him in various predicaments, occurring between the events of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and a mid-credits scene from one of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017). The series uses continuity from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films and is directed and written by Lepore, who also serves as head writer and director.

Vin Diesel voices Baby Groot, reprising his role from the MCU movies. Bradley Cooper appears in the series, with Jeffrey Wright joining the cast during the second season. The project was announced in December 2020, and Luma Pictures started developing its photorealistic animation by August 2021. That November, Lepore’s involvement was revealed.

The first season of five shorts premiered on Disney+ on August 10, 2022 as part of Phase Four of the MCU. A second season with five additional shorts released on September 6, 2023, continuing as part of Phase Five.
