The Tailor, known originally as Terzi, represents a Turkish television series featuring Çağatay Ulusoy, Salih Bademci, Şifanur Gül and Olgun Şimşek. OGM pictures handled production while Cem Karcı served as director. Premiering on 2 May 2023 through Netflix, the show underwent title changes from Süslü Korkuluk (Fancy Scarecrow) which was intended for TV8 before Netflix took over distribution duties.
The narrative draws from collected experiences of a psychiatrist's patient. Central to the story is Peyami Dokumacı, a gifted young tailor who inherited both his craft and thriving enterprise from his grandfather. Following his grandfather's passing, Peyami relocates his father Mustafa—his greatest hidden secret and someone with childlike mental capacity—into his Istanbul residence. Mustafa must now live openly while maintaining the truth. Meanwhile, Esvet enters Peyami and Mustafa’s lives after fleeing an abusive bond with Dimitri, carrying her own undisclosed past.
