Star Trek: Very Short Treks 2023
Star Trek: Very Short Treks is a series of promotional shorts made for the 50th anniversary of Star Trek: The Animated Series. Created by Casper Kelly, it includes five non-canon films lasting two to five minutes each. These episodes use characters and locations from all prior Star Trek shows.
The project was revealed in July 2023. Kelly was told to explore comedic limits within the franchise. Animation came from Awesome Inc, matching the look of The Animated Series. Numerous actors from earlier Star Trek series returned to reprise their roles, alongside several comedians who provided voices.
Very Short Treks premiered on StarTrek.com and YouTube during September through October 2023.
