Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix 2023
A 2026 adult animated science fiction television series, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix was made by Adi Shankar for Netflix. The show draws from the 2013 video game Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, blending in elements and characters from multiple Ubisoft properties. Produced by Ubisoft Film & Television, Bobbypills, and Bootleg Universe, it premiered on October 19, 2023, on Netflix and earned mostly favorable responses from critics.
Set in an alternate 1992 United States, the series portrays a dystopian technocracy ruled entirely by the corporation Eden. Within this world, anthropomorphic animals function as the primary labor force for the company. A supersoldier who escaped from the corporate army is imprisoned in a secret facility. Along with other inmates, he is forced into a covert operations unit due to mind-control devices that will kill them if they resist. Their main mission involves disrupting the schemes of a revolutionary figure who is also the protagonist's former romantic partner.
