Women in Blue 2024
Women in Blue is a Mexican crime drama series written by Fernando Rovzar and Pablo Aramendi. The show takes place in Mexico City during early 1970s and centers on four women who become part of the nation's initial female police force, all while a serial murderer targets the city. Bárbara Mori, Ximena Sariñana, Amorita Rasgado, and Natalia Téllez play the main characters, with Miguel Rodarte and Leonardo Sbaraglia appearing in supporting capacities.
Lemon Studios produced this series, which marked Apple TV’s inaugural Spanish-language original program. Season one consisted of ten episodes that began airing on July 31, 2024 and ended on September 25, 2024. The second season contained eight episodes released weekly from August 12 through September 30, 2026.
Initial reception for the first season was largely positive, with critics highlighting the period setting's visual elements and the lead actresses’ portrayals, although they observed that the mystery elements followed predictable patterns.
