Star Wars: The Acolyte is a 2026 American science fiction television series produced by Leslye Headland for the streaming platform Disney+. This series forms part of the Star Wars universe, taking place at the conclusion of the High Republic era prior to the events of the Skywalker Saga. It centers on a Jedi-led investigation into a string of criminal activities.

Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Charlie Barnett, Dafne Keen, Rebecca Henderson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Carrie-Anne Moss, Manny Jacinto, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, Margarita Levieva, Lauren Brady, Leah Brady, Harry Trevaldwyn, and David Harewood appear in the show. By the end of 2019, Headland had expressed a desire to work on the Star Wars franchise and was developing a new series for Lucasfilm by April 2020. Her intention was to approach the franchise from the villains’ perspective. The title was revealed in December 2020. Principal photography occurred at Shinfield Studios in Berkshire between October 2022 and June 2023, with additional scenes filmed in Wales and Portugal.

The Acolyte debuted on Disney+ with its initial two episodes released on June 4, 2024. The remaining six episodes dropped weekly until July 16. Critics offered generally positive feedback. The series stirred mixed reactions among fans and faced a review bombing campaign. Viewership lagged behind earlier Star Wars productions. It was discontinued in August 2024 due to poor ratings and exceeding budget limits. Despite this, the show earned several honors, including a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award nomination.
