The Bear 2022
The Bear is an American comedy-drama series that aired on FX and Hulu. It was created by Christopher Storer and stars Jeremy Allen White as Carmy Berzatto, a successful chef who returns to his hometown of Chicago to take over the kitchen of his late brother’s Italian beef sandwich shop. The regular cast features Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson, and Edwin Lee Gibson.
The first season premiered on FX and Hulu on June 23, 2022. Subsequent seasons were released in June 2023, June 2024, and June 2025. A special episode was released on May 5, 2026, starring Moss-Bachrach and Jon Bernthal, focusing exclusively on their characters. The fifth and final season was made available on June 25, 2026.
The show earned widespread praise for its acting, writing, direction, visual presentation, soundtrack, and production quality. However, starting from season three, viewers noted a change in tone, increased celebrity cameos, and narrative slowdowns. Many chefs have commended the series for accurately portraying restaurant life's physical and emotional pressures. The Bear has won numerous awards, including 22 Primetime Emmy Awards—such as Outstanding Comedy Series—and five Golden Globe Awards, including Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
