Fallout 2024
Fallout is an American post-apocalyptic drama television series developed by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet for Amazon Prime Video. The show is based on the role-playing video game franchise created by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, taking place two centuries after the Great War of 2077, when civilization has crumbled due to nuclear war. The cast includes Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Walton Goggins, and Frances Turner.
In 2020, Amazon acquired the rights to adapt the game into a live-action series. The announcement came that July, with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films teaming up with Bethesda Game Studios for production. Nolan directed the first three episodes. Todd Howard, a Bethesda Game Studios producer who worked on various titles in the franchise, joined as executive producer alongside Nolan and Joy. Robertson-Dworet and Wagner were appointed as showrunners in January 2022, while Goggins and Purnell were cast in February and March respectively.
Fallout debuted on Prime Video on April 10, 2024. Its second season released on December 16, 2025. In May 2025, the series was ordered for a third season. The program has received generally positive reviews, with commendations for its visual presentation and loyalty to the original material. Critics have labeled it among the finest adaptations of video games. It has earned three Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Goggins, as well as two Creative Arts Emmy Awards out of 14 total nominations.
