Batman: Caped Crusader is an American adult animated superhero television series derived from the DC Comics character Batman. The show is developed by Bruce Timm and produced by J. J. Abrams's Bad Robot Productions, Matt Reeves, 6th & Idaho Motion Picture Company, DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation, and Amazon MGM Studios. Initially announced in May 2021 for Cartoon Network and HBO Max, the series debuted on August 1, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video. Set in the 1940s, Caped Crusader presents a film noir-influenced reimagining of the Batman legend, centering on a young Bruce Wayne in the early phase of his Gotham City crime-fighting journey. The series draws influence from Batman comics of the 1940s and 1960s.

The series is frequently regarded as a spiritual follow-up to Timm's Batman: The Animated Series. Unlike prior Batman shows, Caped Crusader investigates corruption and criminality within a stylized period backdrop and has been recognized for its serialized narrative approach and deep psychological character development. Critics have commended its mature atmosphere and intricate depiction of the superhero, distinguishing it from earlier versions. A second season was declared in March 2023 and released on July 31, 2026.
