Avatar: The Last Airbender is a live-action American fantasy action-adventure television series created by Albert Kim for Netflix. It adapts the animated Nickelodeon show developed by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. The main cast features Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Ken Leung, Daniel Dae Kim, Elizabeth Yu, Momona Tamada, and Miyako. This series is set in a world with four nations—Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads—where individuals called "benders" control one of the classical elements. The narrative centers on twelve-year-old Aang, who is the last surviving Air Nomad and the Avatar, the sole person capable of mastering all four elements.

The project was initially announced in September 2018. DiMartino and Konietzko were originally both executive producers and showrunners; however, they left the production due to creative disagreements. Kim then took over as showrunner. The first season was filmed between November 2021 and June 2022, while seasons two and three were shot consecutively from September 2024 to November 2025.

The first season debuted on February 22, 2024. In March 2024, the series was ordered for a second and third season. Season two launched on June 25, 2026. The final season is scheduled for release in 2027. Critics offered mixed feedback, commending the visual effects, action choreography, soundtrack, and cultural inclusivity, while criticizing the script, pacing, and certain acting choices. Despite this, it was seen as a notable improvement compared to the widely criticized 2010 live-action film adaptation.
