Agatha All Along is an American television miniseries produced by Jac Schaeffer for the streaming platform Disney+, adapting material from Marvel Comics and centering on the character Agatha Harkness. It emerges as a spin-off from the 2021 miniseries WandaVision and marks the 11th television production within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), created by Marvel Studios under its Marvel Television banner. This series maintains continuity with the MCU's film offerings. The showrunner and primary director was Schaeffer.
Kathryn Hahn returns in her role as Agatha Harkness, previously seen in WandaVision, joined by Joe Locke, Debra Jo Rupp, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Okwui Okpokwasili, Patti LuPone, Evan Peters, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, and Miles Gutierrez-Riley among the main cast. Development started in October 2021, with Schaeffer and Hahn attached to the project. The formal announcement followed shortly after. Early in 2023, Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg, and Gandja Monteiro were named as directors before filming commenced from January through May 2023 at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and in Los Angeles. Returning talent included the musical team from WandaVision. Marketing efforts included several provisional titles prior to officially naming the series Agatha All Along—named after the song featured in WandaVision—which was revealed in May 2024. The production was described as the second in a trilogy beginning with WandaVision and continuing with VisionQuest (2026).
Agatha All Along debuted on Disney+ on September 18, 2024, consisting of nine episodes until October 30 as part of Phase Five in the MCU. Critics responded positively, highlighting performances by Hahn, Locke, LuPone, and Plaza along with the story’s plot twists, character arcs, and exploration of queer themes. Hahn earned a Golden Globe Award nomination for her role, while the series garnered three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
