Win or Lose represents an American animated sports comedy miniseries developed by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates for streaming platform Disney+. As Pixar Animation Studios' inaugural original series, it features a co-ed middle school softball squad named the Pickles during the week prior to their championship match, with each episode presenting the viewpoint of individual team members.
The voice ensemble comprises Will Forte, Rosie Foss, Josh Thomson, Milan Ray, Rosa Salazar, Dorien Watson, Izaac Wang, and Chanel Stewart. Development commenced soon after Disney+'s creation, stemming from discussions between Hobson and Yates while working on Toy Story 4 (2019). This format enabled varied character viewpoints and greater creative exploration compared to conventional Pixar films. The soundtrack was written by Ramin Djawadi.
The miniseries debuted on Disney+ at February 19, 2025, comprising eight episodes distributed weekly in pairs until March 12. Subsequently, it aired on the Disney Channel beginning June 7, 2025. Critics responded favorably, though Disney's removal of explicit transgender character confirmation scenes drew criticism. The production earned multiple award nominations including eight from the Children's and Family Emmy Awards (securing five wins) and six from the Annie Awards (gaining three victories).
