Miss Governor, previously titled She the People, is a 2025 American sitcom developed by Terri J. Vaughn and Niya Palmer. The show debuted on Netflix on May 22, 2025, beginning with eight episodes in its first segment, followed by a second segment that launched on August 14, 2025. The series takes place in Mississippi and centers on Antoinette Dunkerson, played by Terri J. Vaughn, who assumes the role of the state's inaugural Black lieutenant governor. As she navigates her political responsibilities under a disengaged governor, Antoinette also deals with the challenges brought by her family’s sudden public attention. The ensemble cast includes Jade Novah, Jo Marie Payton, Drew Olivia Tillman, Tré Boyd, and Dyon Brooks.

The program combines political satire and domestic humor, addressing topics including institutional racism, gender roles, and Southern political intricacies. Some critics have observed that while the show attempts to address significant subjects through comedy, its humorous tone occasionally diminishes the seriousness of these themes. Nevertheless, the acting, especially Vaughn’s performance as Antoinette, has received recognition for adding authenticity and resonance to the story.

Miss Governor is produced by Tyler Perry Studios, with Tyler Perry functioning as writer, director, and executive producer. Additional executive producers are Niya Palmer, Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Terri J. Vaughn. The show is organized into two segments for its season. It is included in Netflix's 2025 lineup and represents a collection of content exploring diverse viewpoints and modern societal issues.

Early on March 2026, Vaughn announced that the series had been discontinued.
