Adult Swim's The Elephant 2025
Adult Swim's The Elephant, alternatively titled The Elephant, represents an American experimental animated television special crafted by Jack Pendarvis and Kent Osborne for Adult Swim.
Animators Ian Jones-Quartey, Patrick McHale, Rebecca Sugar, and Pendleton Ward utilized an exquisite corpse method in creating triptych-style works, with each individual designing and animating separate segments independently to form one narrative featuring three distinct styles and atmospheres. Ward handled the opening segment, Jones-Quartey and Sugar collaborated on the central portion, while McHale directed the conclusion. Vocal roles are filled by Maria Bamford, SungWon Cho, and Jordan Jensen.
The special debuted on Adult Swim during December 19, 2025, subsequently streaming on HBO Max the subsequent day. A behind-the-scenes feature titled Behind the Elephant was released alongside it.
