Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro 2026
Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro is a 2026 American reality dance competition series that debuted on ABC on July 13, 2026, with immediate next-day access via Hulu and Disney+. This program serves as a spin-off of Dancing with the Stars, which originates from the British show Strictly Come Dancing, extending its global format.
Twelve emerging professional dancers resided and trained together in Brisbane throughout the season. The eight-episode series tested participants across technique, collaboration, choreography, chemistry, narrative skills, and instructional capacity. Weekly eliminations led to a final competition determining which dancer would advance to the main show. Robert Irwin hosted the program, having previously won season thirty-four of Dancing with the Stars. Main judges included three-time mirrorball champion Mark Ballas and Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas; an additional rotating judge appeared weekly.
The premiere attracted 5.33 million viewers within three days across ABC, Hulu, and Disney+ platforms, representing ABC's strongest summer launch in six years. Development for a second season of The Next Pro has begun.
