Madagascar: A Little Wild is an American animated television series created by DreamWorks Animation Television and produced by Mainframe Studios. The show serves as a prequel to the 2005 film and centers on Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe while they live in a rescue habitat at the Central Park Zoo as children. This series debuted on Hulu and Peacock on September 7, 2020. Unlike The Penguins of Madagascar and All Hail King Julien, which featured only Alex in guest appearances, Madagascar: A Little Wild places all four zoo animals (referred to as the Zoosters) in primary roles. Neither the Penguins, Lemurs, nor Chimps make any appearance in this series.
