Industry 2020
Industry is a financial thriller drama series that originated in the United Kingdom and the United States. It was developed by former investment bankers Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, with production shared between BBC Two and HBO. The program centers on young graduates who begin their careers at Pierpoint & Co, a prominent London-based investment bank. As the story progresses, later seasons extend the narrative to include broader aspects of the UK’s financial industry and its regulatory frameworks.
The series stars Myha'la, Marisa Abela, and Ken Leung in leading roles, with earlier seasons featuring Harry Lawtey and David Jonsson, while Sagar Radia and Kit Harington join the cast in later episodes. Industry made its debut on 9 November 2020 first on HBO in the United States, then the following day on BBC Two in the United Kingdom. Three additional eight-episode seasons were released in 2022, 2024, and 2026. A fifth and final season has been confirmed. Critics have consistently praised the show’s writing, acting, and direction, especially the third and fourth seasons.
