Home Movie: The Princess Bride 2020
Home Movie: The Princess Bride is an American comedy television miniseries that represents a "fan-made" remake of the 1987 film The Princess Bride, directed by Jason Reitman. Created during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, the series was produced while actors isolated themselves, filming scenes on their personal smartphones in a deliberately DIY style. An ensemble cast recorded their parts, with multiple actors taking on the main roles. The production features the final screen appearance of Carl Reiner, who was the father of the original film's director Rob Reiner. It aired in short episodes on Quibi in June and July 2020.
