Helstrom 2020
A 2026 American supernatural drama series, Helstrom premiered on Hulu on October 16, 2020, consisting of 10 episodes. The show was developed by Paul Zbyszewski for the streaming platform Hulu, adapting characters from Marvel Comics including Daimon and Satana Hellstrom. Produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios, Tom Austen and Sydney Lemmon portray the siblings Daimon and Ana Helstrom, offspring of a notorious serial killer who pursue humanity's darkest elements.
Elizabeth Marvel, Robert Wisdom, June Carryl, Ariana Guerra, and Alain Uy also appear in the cast. The series was officially ordered at Hulu in May 2019, intended as the inaugural production in Marvel Television’s Adventure into Fear line, set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity but separate from its films and other television offerings. Showrunner Zbyszewski emphasized that Helstrom would stand alone, not linking to the broader MCU.
Filming occurred in Vancouver between October 2019 and March 2020. In December 2019, oversight transferred to Marvel Studios after Marvel Television merged into that division. Upon release, the series received mostly unfavorable reviews for its character development and storyline, though it was praised for its visual effects. Helstrom was terminated on December 14, 2020.
