Deaf U is an American reality television program on Netflix that documents deaf and hard of hearing college students at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. This federally chartered private institution serves the deaf and hard of hearing community. Executive producer Nyle DiMarco, a deaf activist, model, and actor, helped create the show. DiMarco stated the series aims to portray deaf individuals as everyday people from diverse backgrounds. The program debuted on October 9, 2020 in Netflix.
