Ginny & Georgia is a 2021 American comedy-drama series made by Sarah Lampert. Georgia Miller, played by Brianne Howey, is a thirty-one-year-old mother living with her teenage kids Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca). They move to the fictional town of Wellsbury, Massachusetts. The show mixes teen drama, family life, mystery, and serious content.
Season one began on February 24, 2021 in Netflix. Seasons two and three came out in January 2023 and June 2025. A fourth season was confirmed in May 2023. During its first 28 days, the series attracted 52 million viewers. The show was compared to Gilmore Girls because of its smart mother-daughter relationship. Yet it developed its own style with emotional family moments, dramatic twists, and complex events.
It sparked conversations about identity, mental health, hidden family truths, and moral confusion. After season 3, the casting attracted media attention. Reporters noted that some young actors were older than their roles.
