Butterfly represents an American spy thriller series crafted by Steph Cha and Ken Woodruff for Amazon Prime Video. This production adapts the Boom! Studios comic book titled Butterfly, authored by Arash Amel and scripted by Marguerite Bennett. The narrative centers on South Korea, following ex-U.S. intelligence agent David Jung (Daniel Dae Kim) and his distant daughter Rebecca (Reina Hardesty), who face pursuit from the spy group "Caddis," examining family conflicts and treachery within global intelligence operations.

Ken Woodruff operates as showrunner, while Kim, also starring, produces Butterfly via his 3AD company, which collaborated with Amazon MGM Studios on the development. Following consultation with Amel and Boom! Studios, Kim and 3AD altered the original Western setting to South Korea, incorporating an international cast and Korean production staff to investigate Asian American themes.

Butterfly debuted on Prime Video during August 13, 2025. Critics offered largely positive feedback, commending its action sequences, acting, locale, and family relationships, though some critique targeted the storyline and script. The series concluded in October 2025 after a single season, concluding with an unresolved cliffhanger.
