The Adam Project is a 2022 American science fiction action comedy film directed by Shawn Levy and written by Jonathan Tropper, T. S. Nowlin, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin. Reynolds portrays the main character, a fighter pilot who takes a time jet and ends up in 2022. He meets his 12-year-old self (Scobell), who has been coping with his father's death (Ruffalo) from the previous year. Together, they must stop his wife (Saldaña) from being assassinated and prevent the timeline leader (Keener) from controlling time travel. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Walker Scobell making his debut, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Catherine Keener, and Zoe Saldaña.

Production started in 2012 with Tom Cruise attached to play the lead role. It later faced development delays before Netflix secured distribution rights. Principal photography began in November 2020 and concluded in March 2021. Rob Simonsen created the musical score.

The Adam Project had a limited "one night only" theatrical release on March 9, 2022, followed by its streaming debut on March 11. Critics responded positively, highlighting acting, action scenes, visual effects, and references to 1980s films. The movie became the third most viewed film on Netflix globally, achieving 157.6 million views within 28 days.
