A Christmas Story Christmas 2022
A Christmas Story Christmas is a 2022 American Christmas comedy film directed by Clay Kaytis from a script by Nick Schenk. It serves as a direct follow-up to the 1983 movie A Christmas Story, bypassing the storylines of My Summer Story (1994) and A Christmas Story 2 (2012). Peter Billingsley returns as Ralphie Parker, joined by Ian Petrella, Scott Schwartz, R. D. Robb, and Zack Ward. Also appearing are Erinn Hayes, River Drosche, and Julianna Layne portraying Ralphie's wife and children, with Julie Hagerty taking on the role of Mrs. Parker. The story centers on adult Ralphie Parker, currently struggling as a novelist, who travels back to his childhood home in Hohman, Indiana in 1973 after his father, the Old Man, passes away, aiming to give his own family a magical Christmas. Principal filming commenced in late February 2022 in Hungary and Bulgaria. The film premiered in the United States on November 17, 2022, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures on HBO Max. Critics responded favorably to the movie.
